THE CHRONICLES OF KELV: Slor

Whether or not he actually existed, Kelvic history begins with the warrior king Slor

The earliest accounts of Kelv suggest that it was formed by an unusual meteor well after other European civilizations had been established. Pre-Medieval texts from neighboring lands tell of “the waste of the gods” falling from the sky into the sea.

While it was still a vast behemoth of steaming rock, numerous tribes ventured into Kelv in hopes of claiming the uninhabited land as their own. Slor conquered each tribe one by one and over time became their leader. He united the first people of Kelv.

Slor’s legendary sword was supposedly fashioned from the jawbone of a creature that he slayed with his bare hands. The unique shape of the weapon became the national symbol of Kelv and it can be seen rising from the rooftops of countless government buildings and churches. In a country with few historical heroes, Slor and his strength is a source of national pride.
