My contribution to the artbook Costellarium (https://costellarium.tumblr.com/), realized by me and the other guys of Rêverie Studio. Seventy artists have chosen a constellation and have illustrated the myth (Western or Eastern).
I chose the constellation “Coma Berenices”, which owes its name to the beautiful hair of Berenice, princess of Egypt. She vowed to sacrifice her long hair as a votive offering if Ptolemy, her husband, returned safely from battle during the Third Syrian War.
Materials: colored pencils and watercolor on paper.
