So, a little cheating here. I did the inks first, intending to water the acrylic down and overpaint it with some transparency, but discovered in a test that the ink is, in fact, water soluble, so that wasn’t gonna work. Ended up using a lightbox to overpaint the inks on another sheet of canvas paper and digitally composited them into the image above.

really loving the feel of the brush and the flow of the paint; just wish I’d had a bigger piece of media to work on, haha
