Q:Why are there so many uncredited works on here?

That’s an excellent question. The responsibility of adding captions, tags and credits rests with the artist that submits. Depending on how you view our blog you should still be able to see who submitted. If you’re using a computer above the work it will say “(artist name) submitted to EatSleepDraw, on the app “submitted by (artist name) below the post. EatSleepDraw is a labor of love that we have been working on for over 8 years.

Q:Here's a question : How many people are there working to keep the ESD project running, and well, out of curiosity, who's the most intellectual in terms of cultural knowledge? Love the Tumblr by the way, its rare to find online galleries as large as this online. :]

Tony is the Senior Editor and has the demanding task of going through over a thousand pieces of artwork we receive weekly. 

Sarah, our Community Manager, runs our Facebook page and chooses our staff pick of the day.

And I run everything else, producing the sketchbooks, answering your emails, monitoring our Twitter and dealing with questions like this :)

I’m a bit unclear what you mean by “cultural knowledge” but I do know that between the three of us, there are four Bachelor of Fine Art degrees and one Art History minor. :)

Thanks for being so thoughtful. It is true that it does take some time to look through every submission, but the problem is the queue of work is at times 300 images deep (the limit set by tumblr). Since we post roughly every hour it will take that 300th drawing about 13 days to make it on the site. I hope that makes sense, thanks for your question!

Q:I submitted my artwork, I was wondering how long it usually takes to get posted, IF its selected...And will we be notified if it is? Just wondering :-)

Due to the amount of submissions we get, which is approximately 250-300 per day, there is just no way or time to notify every artist. 

But, if your art was approved, it might take between 20-30 days to be posted on the site.

Excellent question.

We do not post photography.

Submissions can be of a drawing, illustration, painting, collage, mixed media or doodle.

When in doubt, always submit. :)
