Daily Dot | How to be featured on Tumblr’s EatSleepDraw
“The Daily Dot asked EatSleepDraw cofounder Lee Rubenstein, what are some ways artists can get their work featured on the site? These are some of the tips he provided”
“EatSleepDraw could be considered the Museum of Modern Art of the Internet, a highly selective gallery where only the best art is displayed for the world to admire. Its director, Lee Rubenstein, however, might not have come up with the idea for the Tumblr blog if it weren’t for a chance encounter.” (continued)

Blogs We Like: Eat, Sleep, Draw
Ranging from 8-bit digital illustration to simple B&W portraits, Eat, Sleep, Draw is among the very best user-submitted art blogs on Tumblr. Co-founded by Lee Rubenstein and Ben Ross in late 2007, ESD has evolved into “a finely curated art gallery” with its own gift shop and ever-changing line of sketch books. It’s one of the few truly high-quality curated art Tumblrs that manages to remain inclusive and unpretentious, showcasing new and budding artists alongside professional animators and illustrators.
Eat, Sleep, Draw’s consistent quality is a direct result of its Herculean editor Tony Lamberty, who manages to comb through “over a thousand pieces of artwork” weekly for the site. ESD also uses our very own Carlo Franco’s Effector theme, which I can verify—sitting next to him as I type this—makes him smile. Be sure to follow ESD and, if you’re an artist, consider becoming a member to help their noble cause.
